Thanksgiving

In early November, Bear Bait (honey...get it?) (my beautiful bride) came home and announced a great plan for the month.  Each day we were to write something we were thankful for on a piece of paper an d place it in a vase on our dinner table.  On Thanksgiving we open each of these and read them with explanation about our writings.

All day on Thanksgiving, I spent time with my wonderful family and gorged myself on every type of food known to man.  Afterwards I went back and ate some more because.....well I am not really sure why I did.  So, I am thankful for food.

As I looked around the area and noticed the people there I became overwhelmed by the Grace of God.  My Father-in-law had a minor stroke this year and he is in good health.  My grandparents are in good health and Nanny was there to provide direction to those that "need" it.  I spent time thinking about conversations that I had with Eldredge as he worried about his future and providing for his family.  He now has an incredible job and his future is so bright I need shades.  Stan & Jennifer are better off than they have been in a long time.  Brandon got a great job @ Lubrizol and bought a house & Harley.  Hillary is now engaged.  I could go on and on, the bottom line is this.  

We are living in times of uncertainty but MY GOD reigns!  It does not matter what is going in the economy, family or culture....MY GOD reigns!!!  When you have your family and God, can you really complain?
